Credit Union Member Service Representative

Professional Police Officers Credit Union – Indianapolis, IN

Professional Police Officers Credit Union is seeking a member service representative to help us continue to be the primary financial institution serving our members. The representative will serve as the primary liaison to members in all aspects of assisting members with Credit Union services. Some of the duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to, opening new accounts, taking phone calls, handling mail, offering guidance to all members, ordering HELOC appraisals, handling and accepting wire transfers, understanding, and following all credit union policies and procedures, and serving as backup to the VISA/Checking Coordinator, and preparing the daily deposit.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate
• MSR Training
• Typing skills, bookkeeping, and clerical knowledge, adding machine skills
• Good conversationalist, very pleasant and helpful
• Interested in the welfare of the people
• Ability to handle member problems over the phone and in person
• A thorough understanding of credit union philosophy
• Progressive minded, dedicated, and alert to the conditions of time

Starting Salary based on experience.

TransferNow allows you to enhance your digital offerings and strengthen relationships by offering accountholders the flexibility to manage their money as they see fit. It offers a streamlined account-to-account funds transfer solution that enables consumers to securely transfer funds, making opening financial accounts simple and straightforward. Transfer Now leverages automated identity authentication and funding account verification processes that satisfy all business, risk, and compliance requirements so members can safely transfer money among more than 15,000 banks, credit unions and brokerages via the ACH network. This product will be available in the PPOCU online homebanking application aka Virtual Branch Next (VBN).

The user may access TransferNow

1. Click the “Transfers” icon.
2. Select External Account transfers.
3. Create Transfers-
   • When setting up the To or From account, select the “add account” link to add an external account.
   • Begin by selecting the account type. Enter the routing and account number. Select “Add.”
4. Adding External accounts-
   • Enter account information for the external account and click next.

CHECK FREE (POPMONEY USERS)

Person to Person (P2P) transfers will no longer be available within the CheckFree Bill Payment Services. P2P options available can be utilized through other applications such as Paypal, Cash App, or Venmo. Any recurring payments processed through Popmoney up to 6:00 p.m. will be completed. Future-dated payments will not be completed after June 30, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. Please contact the Credit Union if you have any questions.
